1990 - 1998 Director of Nursing, Private Nursing Home, with responsibility for 80 patients and 50 staff.
After working in the nursing home, Patricia was looking for a new business opportunity that would allow her to use her medical background in a different way. During a trip to the United States, Patricia came across medical aesthetics and researched it further. She decided to venture into this new area and bring it back to Ireland.
Patricia trained in the US with Dr. Bob Weiss in Baltimore and Dr. Patrick Bitter Jnr. in California. She did further training in the UK with Lumenis SND, Dr. Mervin Patterson. Her research is ongoing and she regularly attends international seminars on medical aesthetics. At the IMAS in Paris, 2002, Patricia presented to over 500 international candidates on "The Responsibility of the Nurse Using Lasers." She also presented at the FACE conference in London in 2008 and again at IMCAS in Paris 2009.
Patricia has been extremely proactive in seeking regulation of the medical aesthetics industry in Ireland. Current Irish legislation allows anyone, without even the most basic training, to open a laser clinic and treat patients. Patricia is in regular communication with the Department of Health on this matter and has called on the Minister for Health to regulate this industry by establishing clear guidelines and recommendations, similar to those that have been effective in the UK since April 2002.
She is frequently asked to appear on TV participating in Ireland AM TV3, Midday TV3, The Afternoon Show RTE and radio.

Caroline Gordon RGN has 7 years specialist experience in medical aesthetics and dermatology. Previously based at Derma Laser Clinic Tallaght, Caroline opened Derma Laser Clinic Drogheda in May 2005 to cater for the Louth, Meath and North Dublin areas. Derma Laser Clinic Drogheda celebrated its first year in business in May 2006 with an client night which was officially opened by respected beauty journalist and TV presenter Laura Bermingham. Caroline was also winner of a Drogheda Business Excellence Award that year for Customer Excellence in Professional Services, awarded by the Drogheda Chamber of Commerce.
As with all Derma Laser Clinics, Drogheda employs a team of doctors and nurses to ensure the highest standards of practise and patient care. Due to the huge advances in the medical aesthetics industry, training for all Derma Laser staff is ongoing to keep up to date with the latest technology and treatments in this field.

Mr. Shunil Roy, M.B,B.S, FRCS
Mr. Shunil Roy, M.B,B.S, FRCS is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He having completed his Basic Surgical Training, underwent Higher Surgical Training in Cardiothoracic Surgery. As part of his various hospital posts, he has worked for 2 years as Senior Registrar in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Blackrock Clinic.
He has extensively trained in various Public and Private hospitals in Ireland and United Kingdom, holding posts in Surgical Specialities of Cardiothoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Accident and Emergency etc. . He has written various Research Papers published in International Medical journals including a Research thesis on Non-Small Cell Lung Cancers. He was successful in obtaining Postgraduate Surgical Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1997.
Mr. Roy is part of a unique group of doctors who are very well respected in Cosmetic Medicine and hold high level of qualifications and experience. He is a founder member of the Irish Association of Cosmetic Doctors and associate member of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors.
Mr. Roy has a special interest in minimally invasive Cosmetic procedures performed under local anesthesia. He prides in being the pioneer of LaserLipolysis (smartlipo) in Ireland, being the first doctor to introduce this procedure in Ireland in October,2006, parallel to the same time when it was introduced first time in the United Kingdom. Hence he is most experienced in this area having done this procedure at different clinics in Dublin and having been the only Surgeon performing this procedure in Ireland for nearly 1 year before other doctors commenced it in Ireland. He is very well experienced in minimally invasive Vaser Liposuction procedures performed under local anesthetic and is one of the most experienced for same in Ireland.
Mr.Roy is one of the first officially recommended Surgeon for Macrolane Breast Enhancement and Reshaping and Body Contouring procedures in Ireland by Q-Med. UK, the manufacturers for Macrolane.
He is also one of the first officially recommended Surgeon to perform the innovative second generation Silhouette Mid-face and Neck thread lift in Ireland, and is officially recommended by Sillhouette suture manufacturers.
He is very well trained and experienced in expertly administering various anti-wrinkle treatments involving muscle relaxing injections, Dermal Fillers and the latest innovative Fascial Volume Enhancement procedures including Cheek Augmentation, Chin Augmentation and Jaw line Enhancement and infraorbital volumatery for eye hollows and volume loss. He is also trained to perform Sculptra face enhancement. Hence with his vast experience and expertise in a range of treatments, he can suggest particular treatments best suited for you.
He is trained to perform Eye Lash and Eye Brow hair transplantation Surgery and scalp hair transplantation by both FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) and the scarless FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) methods. He travels far and wide to attend different meetings, workshops and conferences to keep update with the rapidly expanding field of Cosmetic Medicine.
