The key benefits PRP Therapy has over other procedures is that it is natural, effective and has minimal downtime.

What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy is a non-surgical treatment designed to improve skin texture and tone. PRP is a natural treatment that uses the patients blood to activate skin and follicle recovery. The platelets in the blood are used to secrete and release a number of different growth factors. This in turn results in a natural healing process.

How does the treatment work?

Blood is drawn from the patient, similarly to a blood test. The plasma and platelets are then separated from the other blood components in the tube containing the blood. The PRP layer is then taken from the same tube and injected into and around the specified treatment area. The skin will be brightened, rejuvenated and rehydrated. Patients will see results after the first treatment. Generally, 3 to 4 treatments are recommended in order to see desired results.

Facial PRP Treatment

The most common areas that are treated are crows feet, loose or sagging skin and frown lines. The treatment helps with anti-ageing efforts, leaving skin looking more youthful, hydrated and healthy. Skin also looks smoother and more plump due to the natural collagen production. PRP is suitable for all skin types and can treat multiple skin concerns in one treatment.
