Fractional Laser can be used on the face, hands, neck, chest and décolletage area and is extremely effective in the treatment of:

  • Melasma.

  • Acne scars.

  • Improving pore size.

  • Smoothing out wrinkles around the eyes and mouth.

  • Improving skin tone and texture.

  • Stretch marks.

Fractional Laser Technology falls somewhere between very deep acting lasers and less invasive skin resurfacing treatments. It works using a technologically advanced system of optics which treat the skin in fractional parts or sections, quite like the retouching of a photo, pixel by pixel. It targets damaged, ageing skin by creating microscopic wounds within the targeted areas well beneath the skin’s outermost layer. By doing so, it triggers the body’s own natural healing and the production of new collagen and skin cells. Treatment helps to resurface the skin while stimulating collagen in the underlying dermis, plumping out fine lines and wrinkles. Combining the impact and results of ablative (deep acting) lasers with the gentleness of non ablative lasers, healing occurs quickly with very little downtime for patients.

Typically, four treatments will be required to achieve significant results. Mild swelling and redness occurs after treatment and may take up to three days to subside fully. Patients tolerate the treatment well and apart from these minimal side effects and it won’t otherwise interfere with day to day activities. As with all laser treatments, patients must avoid exposing the skin after treatment and ideally wear SPF60.
